We have been in the IT sector for more than 25+ years and our other company, DigitalGateway operational, setting up LAN’s (Local Area Networks / Internet & Servers / Switches & Routers / VOIP etc.) and we have a good background of the IT industry, registered since 2000.

Our first priority is identifying the location of any fault in your fibre optic cable. Often, the issue is caused by visible damage from construction work. When the cause isn’t immediately apparent, our skilled fibre engineers use an OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) to perform a detailed test. This advanced equipment measures the distance to the fault, enabling us to pinpoint its location, assess the damage, and determine the best course of action for repair.
Unlike copper cables, fibre optic cables require specialized fusion splicing equipment for repairs. Additionally, damage often results in the cable being shortened, complicating the process.
The repair approach will depend on the environment and the extent of the damage. Our engineers come fully prepared with the necessary tools and years of expertise to ensure the most effective solution, restoring your fibre connection quickly. In cases where the cable is too damaged to repair, we also offer full fibre optic cable replacement and installation.
